What is Extract Fonts?

PDFStream reads a PDF's font resource dictionary and lists all embedded font names โ€” useful for identifying the typefaces used in a document, verifying font embedding for print readiness, or auditing fonts for licensing compliance. The extracted font list can be downloaded as a text file. Note that the tool lists font names from the PDF structure; it does not extract the font files themselves (which are binary data embedded in the PDF). Use cases: identifying which fonts are used in a document before editing it in a design tool, checking that all fonts are embedded for print submission, auditing a document for licensed fonts before sharing, or troubleshooting rendering issues caused by missing fonts.
