What is Split by Size?

When a PDF is too large to email or upload, splitting it by file size creates chunks that each stay under the limit. PDFStream's size-based splitter divides the document into segments that target a maximum size per file. Set the target size per output file. The tool splits at page boundaries, keeping as many pages as possible within the size limit before starting a new file. Use cases: splitting a large archive for email attachment limits, dividing a document for platforms with per-file upload caps, creating manageable segments of a large scanned batch, or preparing a document for a submission portal with a file size restriction.
